I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

I DABBLE IN A BIT OF THIS AND THAT!!!!

Elegant Autumn Display, 2016

In my last post, I shared how I decorated my Autumn Tree in the Living Room in an Elegant Theme.....
Click HERE if you missed that post......

I also decorated around the bottom of the Tree..........
Before I continue, I need to Thank these hostesses for featuring my post, Fall Porch and Yard, 2016 from last week's parties!!

Thanks to Claire, over at Claire Justine, for featuring it from last week's Creative Monday Party!!
 Thanks so much, Claire!!

I also want to Thank Maria Elena, over at Our Home Away from Home, for featuring it from last week's Tuesdays at Our Home Party!!
Thanks so much, Maria Elena!!

And I also want to Thank Jillian, over at Bella Rosa Antiques, for featuring it from last week's Let's Talk Vintage Party!!
Thanks a lot, Jillian!!

Please stop by and link up to these wonderful parties!!
I set up the Tree on top of the platform that I use for my Christmas Village......

I just covered it with  gold tablecloth.....
I then set up an Autumn display on the platform under the Tree.....
I used a lot of my "Blinged Up" pumpkins.......
And a few other things.....

In the left hand corner...................
On top of a pedestal is a grapevine pumpkin..........
In front of the Tree is a Bench.....
Surrounded by some pumpkins......
A Bearington Bear is sitting on the bench and another one is standing to the side of it......
Pumpkins, Indian Corn and Pine Cones also occupy the bench.......
I scattered paper pumpkin doilies around the platform.......
A glittered gold pumpkin rests on a Autumn Leaf dish and orange charger......
A Tea set is ready to serve a nice apple cinnamon Tea!!
Over to the side is a velvet "Blinged Up" pumpkin.....
Over on the other side is a Fall Wagon......
I made the "Harvest Blessing" sign from an old baking sheet that I spray painted with chalkboard paint..........

The wagon is filled with a bunch of Fall goodies......
Leaves, pumpkins.......
Gourdes, pine cones..........
And another cute little Bearington Bear sitting at the helm!!
After going through all my decorations , I found some acorns so I scattered them on the platform......
Next to the platform, is a vase filled with a Fall flower arrangement and LED lighted branches .....
 And more pumpkins!!
So that is how I completed my Elegant Autumn Tree Display.....
In a future post, I will be sharing how it looks lit up at night..........

On a personal note, Joe and I had the privilege of seeing Sir Elton John in concert for the 3rd time......

We are so lucky to have the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza located only 5 minutes from our home........

Sir Elton played for 2 1/2 hours without a break and graciously got up from the piano after each song and walked around the stage, thanking his adoring fans!!

It was fantastic!!

Soon I will be sharing how I decorated the Living Room in an Elegant Fall Theme!!

So I hope you will be back to visit soon!!

And thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!

Elegant Autumn Tree, 2016

This is my Elegant Autumn Tree in our Living Room for this year........

First, I want to Thank Richella, over at Imparting Grace, for featuring my post,  Having a Plan: Planning for Early Retirement, from last week's Grace at Home Party!!
Thanks so much, Richella!!

Please stop by and link up to this lovely party!!

This Tree is actually the 7 foot Slim Tree that we have used in our Dining Room for Christmas and Valentine's Day for the past several years........
Last year, we decided to give our 15+ years old Living Room Tree to our son , Jim, and use this Tree in the Living Room as we bought a 7 foot Pencil Thin Tree for the Dining Room on Clearance......

I have all the warm white LED lights on it that I use for Christmas and added 2 sets of LED orange lights......
I like to light my own Trees and hate pre-lit Trees because in a few years, I usually have to cut all the lights off of them anyway because they do not work!!

For the top of the Tree, I use some fall branches.......
2 gold glittered branches.......
And a Bow that I made from 2 different types of Fall ribbon.......
I then tucked Fall branches........
Leaves and Flowers into the Tree.......
I added ornaments in the colors of gold, orange, brown and copper...........
Then I added my Autumn ornaments.......
And wrapped the Tree with Foil Leaf wired garland......

I think the tree looks fuller than it did in the Dining Room because I was able to spread the branches out more.........

Let's take a closer look at what I call my Autumn Ornaments.......
Pumpkins........
Acorns......
Leaves........
Owls......
 A Birdhouse......
Birds......
Scarecrows......
Pine Cones and a Squirrel........
And even a fancy ornament!!

I think the Tree looks very elegant.........

And I love how it looks lit up......
You may have noticed that I have the Tree on my platform that I use for my Christmas Village......
I covered it with a gold tablecloth........
And set up a Harvest display underneath the Tree......
I will be showing you more of this in my next post......
So I hope you will be back to visit soon!!

And thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!

If you do not have a blog, PLEASE  give me some way to reply to your comment, maybe by including your email in your comment.  If I can not find a way to reach you, I will reply on the post where you commented so please check back......
