I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

I DABBLE IN A BIT OF THIS AND THAT!!!!

Even though signs of Easter have been showing up all over Blogland since the middle of February ( right after Valentine's Day), I am just getting around to decorating for Easter.
So far this is all I have up at the moment........
An Easter Cross that I made last Summer.

We have had unseasonably warm weather here in NEPA, 20 -30 degrees above normal with temps. in the high 60's and low 70's in the beginning of March!

Joe and I both had some days off in the beginning of the week so we took advantage of the nice weather and packed away all of the outside Winter decorations, cleaned up the front porch and yard, put down some Preen to prevent weed growth and put the chairs and table back on the front porch.

I do not do much decorating outside for Easter because we frequently have snow and cold weather for Easter here in the Northeast.

And this year with Easter falling so early at the end of March, all I have on the front porch in the way of Easter decorations is an Easter Flag........
And a Spring Wreath on the Front Door........
I also took down the Trees from the Living Room and the Dining Room after I stripped them of the Valentine's decorations.

The Living Room Tree which we have had for about 15 years has now found a new home in my son Jim's home where he and Danielle also leave a Tree up year round.

Next Fall, the 7 foot slim Tree that I used in the dining Room for few years will become our Living Room Tree and a new 7 foot pencil thin Tree that I bought on Clearance after Christmas will grace the Dining Room.

All of my Valentine's decorations are now packed away and I took the time to organize everything and label new tubs that were bought for storage of decorations.

Even though it is only 2 weeks until Easter, I plan on doing my Easter decorating this weekend as I am off and I will be leaving my Easter decorations up until the end of April.........

Now, that I got all that out of the way, let's get back to my Easter Cross.
I bought the styrofoam form for the cross 2 years ago at an Estate Sale held at the business of a local florist.

Last Summer, I decided to use up my stash of flowers and make the cross.........

I made a bow out of deco mesh ribbon for the center of the cross.......
And just kept filling the styrofoam form with flowers.......
After I made it, I did not want to store it up in the Attic so it hangs on the Guest Room door during the year!!
I was going to add some Easter eggs to it but because it is on display year round, I elected not to......
I think it makes quite a statement hanging on the fake window in the Living Room........
And I added some lights to it!!
And of course, I took some photos in the candle light mode in the Evening......
So for now, this is the only Easter decoration that I have up but that will soon change!!
I have not been able to decorate for Easter for 3 years so I do not even remember what I have!!
I am often asked what Joe thinks about all my decorations........

When you walk in the front door, you pretty much can't miss seeing this......
He came home from work the other day and I said, "So what do you think about my Easter Cross?"

He said "What Easter Cross?"

He never even noticed it and it was lit up!!

So he really doesn't care what I do to the house and sometimes, I am sure that he even sees what I do to the house!!  LOL!!

I hope you will come by and visit  again!!

And thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!

If you do not have a blog, PLEASE  give me some way to reply to your comment, maybe by including your email in your comment.  If I can not find a way to reach you, I will reply on the post where you commented so please check back......

Hugs,
Debbie
